Parents are the hardest and the easiest to get gifts for. In all honesty, all they want is to spend time with you. Give them a handmade gift certificate that says “Good for One Day of Fun With Your Favorite Daughter” and they’ll be stoked.
However, sometimes you just need to give them a physical gift. So I’ve rounded-up some of my favorite (with a little help from my mom since she’s the expert) gifts for your parents and the in-laws.
Hope this helps!
Barefoot Dreams Blanket — we got this for Jamie’s grandma last year and it’s her favorite blanket. So dang cozy.
Family Cookbook — such a great way to make sure recipes get passed down. I also love the Recipe Cutting Board or Tea Towel.
Ninja Foodi — the most used appliance in our house; it does everything.
Photo Scanner — I got this for my mom last year and she freaking loves it. She has SO MANY OLD PHOTOS. I had to caps that because you should see the bins. And now a days what are you supposed to do with them all?! Well now you can digitize them! And then get them that digital photo frame (#15) so they can actually use all those photos!
Matching Pajamas — I know, this one is a little corny but they are so cute!
Robot Vacuum — take vacuuming off their chore list for good.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer — with so many attachments this is a gift that you can build on for years. It’s a kitchen staple.
Event Tickets — pick a concert or sports game you think they’d love, or just get them a gift certificate to pick out there own. This is also something you guys can do together which parents always love. Post covid, of course.
Kindle — for the one that loves to read. This is another one of my mom’s favorite gifts.
Apple AirPods — wireless headphones are the best invention and I love the size of these ones.
Pura Diffuser Set — it’s a smart version of their old air freshener. Disclaimer: you might have to set it up for them. But you can also use code cerriously for 15% off on their site!
23 and Me Kit — it’s so fun to find out your true family history!
Always Pan — I have heard such amazing things about this pan; it’s an all-in-one plus it’s non-toxic.
Ice Cream Maker — homemade ice cream is the best and you can enjoy making it together; the grandkids will love this too. There’s also a KitchenAid attachment version if they have a stand mixer!
Digital Picture Frame — we’ve gifted these a time or two and they are always so well received. This one lets you add photos via email so you don’t have to worry about helping them set it up 😉
Ring Doorbell — a doorbell is the last thing they are thinking about updating in their house but once installed they will be so glad they did! A Nest Thermostat is also a great gift idea!
