Happy Monday! I’m sorry this is coming out a day late — we got home from our belated anniversary trip to Calistoga yesterday afternoon and then Jamie’s mom came over for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was a fun filled weekend but man was I exhausted!
We spent the weekend wine tasting at Tank Winery and T-Vine Winery — both super delicious and I bought a bottle from each. We stayed at Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort and had mud bath treatments yesterday morning. I’ll be honest, I’m glad I did it…but I’ll never do it again. I couldn’t get passed the fact that I was sitting it a tub of straight mud, so it definitely wasn’t all that relaxing. Jamie couldn’t stand the smell of the room so he even bailed on me! All in all it was such a fun weekend though and I can’t wait to go back and visit. Calistoga is such a cute town and we forget how close it is too!
Last week my mom and younger brother and I had our first Pinot Night! We started a new tradition where we’re getting together on the first Wednesday of every month to try new pinots or our favorite pinots — it’s a way to open bottles we’re saving for a special occasion or ones we’ve been wanting to try. This month it was my turn to bring the wine so I brought Ketcham Estate and Read Holland. The Read Holland was definitely the winner between the two! So dang good.
