First off — Happy Birthday to my Mama Bear!! And also, Happy Mother’s Day! It’s one of the doubled up days where we celebrate all the things. I know sometimes that can feel like a rip off, so we try extra hard to make her feel as special as she deserves.
And Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! We are heading to celebrate my mother-in-law this afternoon and then off to my mom’s for an early dinner. It’s going to be a weird day with all the social distancing, but it’s nice to be able to even see them in person!
Also, I know this day can be hard. So if you are a mom, or you lost a mom; if you’re a mom who lost a child, or a child without the mom you need(ed); if you want to be a mom but aren’t; if this day is hard, I see you and I’m sorry. God sees you; he loves you.

mini meat & cheese boards
I had a socially distant gathering with friends last weekend and I really wanted to make a meat and cheese platter! I mean, come on! Since everyone can’t exactly eat one of those while staying distant (and you eat it with your hands!) I decided to make mini individual plates for each person. I absolutely love how they turned out and it now makes me want to make more of them!
