What a week — amiright? It was one of those “I need 3 coffees, 6 puppies and like 12 million dollars” kind of weeks. In any case, I decided to start something new on the blog — a weekly recap. Although that term gives me flashbacks of retail days where I had to write the successes and opportunities of the previous week to let our District Manager know why we were so amazing or so terrible the last 7 days, I plan to make this a little more fun. Although I love to write, there were days where I just wanted to say “It is what it is.” and click send.
So, this is going to be similar in that I reflect on the last week — if there’s anything worth sharing I will add it here — but I’m really just rounding up everything that happened in case you’ve missed it. Want to see other things in this recap? Let me know in the comments below.

Racer-back Bodysuit: this piece has been a staple in my summer wardrobe. It’s also one of my 6 must have transition pieces for fall.
Brown Leather Apple Watch Band: this is really the only band that I use unless I’m working out. It’s simple and classic and makes the watch feel much less “techy”.
Mule Slides: currently my go-to shoes. They go with everything and they are the perfect mix of sandal and shoe. Talk about a great transition piece.
Lace Midi Dress: such a gorgeous dress! The lace detail on this is amazing and it comes in so may great colors. I wore it to a wedding and cannot even tell you how many people complimented me on it.
Dolman Sweater: the softest and most cozy sweater. I bought this last year and they brought it back over the summer in a couple new colors. Perfect wardrobe staple.

recipes we tried
Beer Can Chicken — we make this a lot but it was the first time we tried it in the oven (we typically use an infrared fryer). This is a great recipe when it’s cold or raining because the oven is going to be on for an hour and a half and it defiantly heats up the house. We paired it with mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley of brussel sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli.
Doritos Taco Salad — I had never had Catalina dressing before and let me tell you I’ve been missing out! We added corn to this salad and it was so good. Also, I know they aren’t healthy but don’t skip the Doritos — they are so worth it.
Chicken Broccoli Pasta with Bacon — this is one of my favorite dishes because it has all of my favorite things. The only complaint I have is that it’s so many dishes. I love a one pan recipe and this one is not it. But it definitely doesn’t disappoint if you don’t mind a little extra work.
Lemon Chicken Romano — another amazing recipe. When I don’t want to think about what to make for dinner this chicken is a go-to. We ate it with rice and asparagus and it was bomb.
