Let’s be honest, I’m just here for the commercials. If I had it my way we’d all be watching the Puppy Bowl instead of the Super Bowl, but here we are. At least we’ll be eating all the delicious food and enjoying, hopefully, a really good halftime show.
Down to business. The food is one of the most important aspects of a Super Bowl Party. So today I’m breaking down how I made is super fun snack board, super bowl 2020 inspired. Game day snacks are basically all the finger foods plus lots of dips. So this fits right on.
Start by cutting up all the veggies and assembling the tomato/cheese skewers. I chose to keep things in the red, yellow, gold family because of the teams that are playing this year and added pops of green for color and because, football is played on grass right? Just kidding, kinda.
Once you have everything that is cold, or served room temperature prepped, start on your hot items. I did everything in our Ninja Foodi Air Fryer because it’s so freaking easy, but you could also do a deep fryer or the oven too. When one batch of food was done in the fryer, I kept it warm in the oven at 170 degrees. This way I could assemble the board with everything still hot, meaning it will get served to the people still nice and warm.
On to the assembly. Start with your bowls — place them in whatever arrangement you’d like. I always start on the outside of the board, especially when they have sides that can help hold up the food, and work my way in. Bordering the bowls is another easy starting point. Once you’d got a few things on there, start adding by color. I knew the majority of the board was orange (all the fried food) so I made sure to keep my pops of red and green on opposite sides. And don’t be afraid to move things around after you place them. As you can see, I move the corn dog bites from one side to the middle as I started adding more food. When you have everything where you want it, add your dips to the bowls. I do this last so I know which dips to put next to certain foods.
Lastly, when you have everything where you want it, fill it all in and stack it high. People are hungry.
Now it’s your turn! I would love to see your boards so if you post them, remember to use #cerriouslyimadeit so I can follow along.

tools
Board or Tray — I used a sheet tray for this board because it included quite a few hot items. I also thought it was more fitting than a wooden board.
Small Bowls — This set from Williams Sonoma comes with 4 bowls and I used one of them for the nacho cheese. The other bowls are a set of measuring cups from Hearth & Hand.
Football Skewers — these add a fun football touch. I did the 4.7 inch size but they also come in a smaller and larger version.
Edible Gold Sheets — these were to add a bit of the 49ers gold to the board. I had never used it before so I went light, but you could wrap whatever you want with them; they are tasteless.
