I wish I could say I was writing this from the cabin porch overlooking the snow, coffee in hand. I guess I could have if I was to get this done and out to you by this morning, but we are now back home. La Porte was such a fun experience — I cannot believe the town has a total population of 26 people 🤯. So crazy. We stayed at a VRBO located directly behind the town’s General Store. The town was legit like two blocks long and we could walk around the entire thing in 5 minutes. It was perfect. The place we stayed was small, but it was just the right size for the two of us; plus we could bring the dogs. It was so nice to get away (if even for only 48 hours) and enjoy the peace and quiet. The snow was a bonus too — it’s so pretty! Jamie and I have decided to book a short trip like this at least once a month from now on. Even if we only go for 1 night and drive 20 minutes away; we’re making a point to get out and explore more this year!
Now we’re back to reality. And in more ways than one. I start working again tomorrow after taking two weeks off — it’s actually going to be nice to be back, but it’s almost like I could use another week to do all the things I had planned to accomplish 😂 This week I’m also starting clean eating again. Doing it for at least the month of January, but we’ll see if I just go the full 30 days. It’s going to feel so great after eating crap for the last few weeks.
I’m also spending the next week planning out content for you guys. I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching over the last month or two and really feel the need to change up what I’m sharing. I love clothes, but sometimes it feels like I’m constantly shopping and it can get a little overwhelming. Not to mention pricey 😳. So what type of things would be helpful for you? What can I share that would make your life easier?
best sellers
Round Wall Mirror — I actually got this a couple of years ago but it’s still one of my favorite pieces in our house.
Oversized Knit Throw — such a cozy style at a super affordable price.
Tapered Planter with Gold Stand — a similar style to what I got for our plants; still trying to keep those bad boys alive 🙈
Clear Glass Mug — I got these for my Jardesca Mulled Wine, but have since been using them for coffee and tea. I love the clear style.
