The world was ending this week. Or at least that’s how it felt. There was (supposed to be) severe winds in the area as well as warm temperatures so PG&E decided to cut power to basically all of Sonoma County for a minimum of 24 hours. It was scheduled to go out at 4am on Wednesday and not return until Thursday at 6pm, at the earliest. So you should have seen the town of Santa Rosa on Tuesday — it was panic. Everyone was stalking up on ice, flashlights, canned goods, water, anything to get them through the two days without power. The gas stations had lines around the block —I’m still not sure why, but people say they thought the pumps were going to be shut down and they evidently had places to go.
Well long story short, we all survived. Yes, the power did go out for a lot of the town but not everyone. There were no serve winds, at least that we saw or felt. And everything resumed back to normal come Friday. Thank goodness.
best sellers
Suede Button Front Mini Skirt — I actually bought this last year from Pink Lily but found a similar one on Amazon. It’s the perfect skirt for fall and a great neutral color; goes with everything!
Ruffle Shift Dress — I shared this a few times this week because it was so popular. It’s a great flowy dress that can be worn from Summer to Fall. Pair it with anything from sandals to over the knee boots; it’s so versatile and comes in the best colors.
Felt Panama Hat — one of my must have transition pieces for fall. This hat is the best way to accessorize any outfit. I throw one on with a t-shirt and jeans to feel a little more put together.
Tiered Midi Dress — I shared this dress first over the summer and was so excited to wear it for fall. A jean or leather jacket is the perfect thing to throw over this feminine dress.

recipes we tried
Creamy Lemon Parmesan Chicken Piccatta — one of my favorites, especially paired with risotto. It’s a fairly easy recipe but not something you can set and forget. Totally worth it if you are in the mood to cook though!
Ground Beef Tacos — we did basic tacos this week and they were delicious! Used the recipe on the back of a taco seasoning packet and called it a night.
